Tool shop reorganisation and relocation

In February 2017, the tool shop relocation and reorganisation process was completed.

The reorganisation included implementing LEAN tools and creating a special team responsible for tool picking.

These changes allowed us to optimise production material inventories, improve supervision of work in progress, as well as shorten changeover time (SMED activities).

They also allowed us to improve working conditions in a significant manner:

– the new location provides much more daylight, while LEDs were used to provide artificial lighting

– a new efficient vapour extraction and process dust removal system was installed.
